Optimyze ("Optimyze," "we," "our," or "us") is owned and operated by Joseph Bye. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use the Optimyze mobile application, website located at optimyzeapp.com, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

- Financial account information obtained through Plaid

Device and Usage Information
- Device type
- Operating system
- Browser information
- IP address
- App activity and usage data
- Crash reports and diagnostic information
Subscription and Payment Information
- Subscription status
- Billing information provided through Apple, Google, or payment processors
2. Financial Account Connections
Optimyze uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") to facilitate connections to financial institutions. By linking financial accounts, you authorize Optimyze and Plaid to access and retrieve account information necessary to provide Services. Optimyze does not receive, store, or have access to your banking usernames, passwords, or authentication credentials. Optimyze cannot transfer money, initiate payments, open financial accounts, modify financial accounts, or execute transactions on your behalf.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use information to create and manage user accounts, authenticate users, provide Services, generate Financial Fitness Scores, deliver personalized recommendations, process subscriptions, improve the Services, respond to support requests, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted providers including Plaid, Supabase, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, artificial intelligence and language model providers used to generate personalized financial coaching and recommendations, payment processors, Apple App Store and Google Play services, customer support providers, professional advisors, and government authorities when required by law.
5. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Users may access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, disconnect linked accounts, and request information regarding data usage.
8. Account Deletion
Users may delete their account directly within the app under Profile > Privacy & Security, or by requesting deletion by contacting privacy@optimyzeapp.com.
9. Cookies and Analytics
The Services may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to improve functionality, measure performance, and enhance user experience. Optimyze does not use tracking technologies that track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes, and therefore does not require App Tracking Transparency consent under Apple's guidelines.
10. Third-Party Services
The Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services. Users should review those privacy policies separately.
11. Children's Privacy
Optimyze is not directed to children under the age of 13.
12. Additional Privacy Rights (California and Other Jurisdictions)
Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 13. Financial Disclaimer
Optimyze provides educational tools, budgeting resources, financial wellness insights, and informational content. Optimyze is not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, certified public accountant, tax advisor, or legal advisor.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Services after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
